The health benefits of sex extend well beyond the bedroom. It turns out that sex is good for you in ways you never imagined.
When you’re in the mood, it’s a safe bet that the last thing on your mind is to strengthen your immune system or maintaining a healthy weight. But good sex offers those health benefits and much more.
It ‘a surprise to many people, says Joy Davidson, PhD, a psychologist and sex therapist in New York. “Of course, sex is everywhere in the media,” he says. “But the idea that we are vital, sexual creatures is still seen in some cases, disgust, or in other cases, some ‘confusion. So really look at how sexuality brings into our lives and improves our lives and our health, both physical and psychological, is eye opening for many people. ”
Sex is a good body in a number of ways, according to Davidson and other experts. Benefits are not just anecdotal or hearsay – each of these 10 health benefits of sex is supported by scientific studies.
The benefits of health in a relationship:
1. Sex relieves stress
Health benefits of sex are lower blood pressure and reduce stress in general, according to scientists in Scotland who reported their findings in the Journal of Biological Psychology. They studied 24 women and 22 men who kept records of sexual activity. Then the researchers subjected them to stressful situations – such as public speaking, and to make verbal arithmetic – and noted their blood pressure response to stress. Another study published in the Journal of the same, it was found that sexual activity is often associated with lower diastolic blood pressure in cohabiting participants. Still other studies have found your partner hugs and lowers blood pressure in women.

Researchers at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., took samples of saliva, which contain IgA, 112 students who reported the frequency of sex they had.
They group “often” – one or two times a week – had higher IgA than the other three groups – who reported being abstinent, the sex less than once a week, or take it more often, three or more times week.
3. Sex burns calories
Thirty minutes of sex burns 85 calories or more. It may not seem like much, but added: 42 half-hour sessions will burn 3570 calories more than enough to lose the pounds. Doubling, you could drop that pound 21-hour sessions.
“Sex is a great form of exercise,” says Patti Britton, PhD, a Los Angeles sexologist and president of the American Association of Sexuality Educators and Therapists. It should work both physical and psychological perspective, to do well, she said.
